Reyna Asheim (Bergstrom)is a fifth-generation North Dakotan from Fargo, North Dakota. She is an active freelance artist, photographer, musician, writer, and content creator who discovered her love of creating and connecting with others as a young girl.
In June 2021, she earned the job of Miss North Dakotaand spent her year of service traveling the state speaking to schools, businesses, and organizations about her community service initiative, “The Influencer Era: Impact Beyond the Screen”, a message about the importance of in-person connection and relationships. Beyond this initiative, Reyna leads workshops on personal branding and social media literacy. Along with traveling the state of North Dakota, in 2021 she traveled to Connecticut to represent North Dakota at the100-Year Anniversary Competition of Miss America.
Previously, Reyna has worked on the marketing team at Concordia College, at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp on Flathead Lake in Montana, on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., and at Sanford Health as a Senior Marketing Specialist. Most recently, she worked as the Policy and Communications Manager for the First Lady of North Dakota, Kathryn Burgum, assisting the First Lady with various projects along with handling the communications and marketing for her nonprofit,Recovery Reinvented. Reyna enjoys making time for a select number of photography projects each year.
Reyna is a proud graduate of Oak Grove Lutheran High School and Concordia College Moorhead. She is passionate about community and church involvement. In her free time she enjoys planning trips, attending yoga sculpt classes, and eating arguably too many avocados. Reyna is married to her high school sweetheart, Collin, and this past year, they relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, with their very fluffy english cream retriever, Odin.
